Mono/CNM Mixed Dynamic Relationship Structured Support Group with Dr. Eli Sheff for The Pincus Center

This is a hybrid support group/informational course that combines brief power point presentations on key ideas, large and small group discussions, and homework assignments.

When & Where

  • Thursdays, 2/6/25 - 3/13/25
  • 8pm - 10pm EST
  • On Zoom!

Each session lasts for six weeks, with live online meetings once a week.

  • Week one begins with introductions all around: to Dr. Eli and her personal and professional background in mixed orientation relationships; to group members; and to the idea of singularity and multiplicity possibly being unchanging orientations for some people.
  • The second week focuses on how to heal from past challenges to move forward feeling better and begins the process of assessing relationships, both each person’s individual relationship with themselves, as well as the relationship between or among partners.
  • In week three the group explores relationship assessments more deeply, completing homework and discussing the outcomes with each other and the group.
  • Week four explores what people want and don’t want out of their relationships and seeks to uncover the specifics of where people agree and exactly what they disagree about.
  • During the fifth week the group will focus on letting go of blame and taking a unified stance against the challenges and in coalition with each other.
  • Last, in week six the group talks about the specifics of what kind of relationship they really want, what they can tolerate under some circumstances, and what is completely out of bounds for each person and relationship.
